SAIC is seeking a well-rounded Systems Engineer Senior to lead a team of EEs, MEs, programmers and other project personnel to deliver concepts and products related to aircraft and other military systems. The candidate will directly support Government program(s) as a systems engineer and/or project lead throughout the entire program lifecycle. The candidate will support all aspects of design to include, but not limited to, design, development, documentation, test and debug of embedded systems and other hardware and software systems. Candidate will be expected to perform engineering investigations, integrate hardware/software components,and is expected to possess excellent communication skills to interface to multi-disciplinary design team. Candidate will also perform detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications. Candidate will also perform fault analysis and will author analyses to document system compliance with customer requirements. As part of daily duties, candidate ensures the effective team implementation of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must possess the following qualifications:
· Minimum of Bachelors degree in relevant engineering discipline and five (5) years or more experience, or Masters degree and three (3) years or more experience
· Experience with requirement generation, management, allocation, and tracking
· Strong background with managing engineering development project teams and familiarity with project tracking to assess risk, costs, schedule, and team performance
· Strong background in developmental and qualification testing of embedded systems, to include test planning, documentation, set up, and execution
· Strong background in product design review processes, to include preparation of review documentation and products, and presentation of material in a structured development environment (i.e. defense, medical, automotive, etc…)
· Must be able to obtain a minimum of a secret security clearance
· Must be U.S. citizen
DESIRED SKILLS: Not required, but ideal candidate would also possess the following skills:
· DOORS and Product Life Cycle Management tools experience a strong plus
· Working experience with military Cyber, Safety, and Human Factors Engineering requirements
· Experience with military QA and Change Management requirements
· Experience with power systems, RF systems, acoustic systems, communications protocols, and embedded systems and devices
· Experience with DoD weapons integration, aircraft systems and weapons control and delivery systems and associated test equipment
· Already possess military security clearance at the Secret or above level
