JOB SUMMARY
This role will handle the overall credit and collections activities of the company and will provide oversight and support to both York locations in Pennsylvania and Illinois. This includes overseeing the credit process, new customer onboarding, collections of accounts receivable and necessary follow-up with customers, and assistance with consignment invoicing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for collections of accounts receivable, including follow-up on past-due balances and adherence to company collections policy.
- Working with Atlantic credit team to help establish and maintain credit approvals for current and prospective customers.
- Ensuring York is in adherence to Atlantic credit and collections policies.
- Perform periodic account reviews to determine if any changes need to be made.
- Review orders on Credit Hold and make determination or escalation per the credit policy.
- Collaborate with Sales & Customer Service teams to address any issues impacting the collections process with customers.
- Assistance with processing of consignment invoices
- Assistance with posting daily invoices and cash application.
- Act as back-up for posting daily invoices and cash application.
- Other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES
- Career experience in an accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, operations finance, or related role(s) that demonstrates a professional understanding of accounting and financial concepts and cost accounting principles.
- Collaboration/Contribution mindset: You must build effective working relationships and partner with others to close gaps and solve problems.
- Process and Transformation focused: You embrace and lead change and have experience standardizing and optimizing processes and work products.
- Confident Communicator: You must be comfortable being seen and heard. You have experience translating complex financial concepts to various audiences, including in a way non-financial individuals can understand and relate to.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Equivalent years demonstrated in a similar role required.
- Experience in a Manufacturing facility/environment preferred.
- SAP or other large ERP and integrated accounting system experience.
- Advanced MS Excel capability (pivot tables and reporting, working with macros, modeling, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation).
