ROLE PURPOSE
As a Security Coordinator, your role is pivotal in ensuring the effective installation, maintenance, and repair of home security systems and related equipment. You will be responsible for installing and integrating various components such as control panels, sensors, cameras, and wiring, following technical plans and electrical layouts. Your expertise in low voltage systems and familiarity with specific equipment like Honeywell and 2GIG systems will be essential in delivering high-quality security solutions to our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, maintain, and repair home security systems, alarm devices, or related equipment, follow building plans, electrical layouts, or company proposals.
Install and repair low voltage equipment and systems as required, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
Securely mount control panels, sensors, and cameras, and connect them using low voltage and data wiring. Attach low voltage & data wiring to connect components.
Install equipment using hand tools, or power tools.
Demonstrate system functionality to customers, providing clear instructions on system operation and programming alarm codes.
Perform prewiring tasks in new construction homes to facilitate future security system installations.
Conduct thorough testing and inspections of installed systems, including backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and other security features, using tools such as a multi-meter.
Qualifications
3 years experience in low voltage and security installations preferred but not required.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Familiarity with Honeywell and 2GIG systems.
Valid Georgia driver’s license, with clean driving record.
Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
Capable of working effectively both within a team and independently.
Strong time management skills to ensure timely completion of installations and repairs.
Basic proficiency in using computers for system programming and diagnostics.
Willingness and ability to relocate or commute to Eatonton, GA, for work.
