Union County Public Schools is seeking a Transportation Manager of Logistics for the 2025-26 school year. The highly-effective and motivated candidate must have a valid Kentucky Commercial Class B Driver's License, be Certified as a driver trainer, have a high school diploma, G.E.D Certificate, or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a GED as required by Kentucky law, including five years of experience in student transportation or related experience.
This is a full-time position - 220 Days per year/8 hours per day.
Applicants must have the ability to:
- Plan and coordinate school bus schedules and organize emergency routing as needed to transport students to and from school, athletic events and field trips.
- Resolve transportation issues with parents, students and school administrators
- Coordinate, develop and implement an efficient student transportation system
- Develop and schedule efficient bus routing systems
- Work independently, meet schedules and time lines, maintain records, prepare reports, and communicate effectively
- Any/All duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and Safety.
- Complete Required Background checks
- Effective 4/4/2018, All applicants must present a letter from the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) stating that the applicant has no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect.
