Job Title: Job Developer--Job Coach Department: Job Placement Reports To: Director of Job Placement FLSA Status: Nonexempt Approved By: Director of Human Resources Approved Date: Scope of Job: Demonstrates an in depth knowledge of the program and coordinates and continuously monitors aspects of the program in accordance with the mission and policies of Zoom Group. Demonstrates a clear understanding of, and sensitivity toward, our clients and their particular needs and goals. Consistently demonstrates proficiency in the Competencies and Essential Duties documented below. Required Competencies: Professionalism / Quality: Approaches others in a tactful manner and reacts well under pressure. Accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments. Writes and speaks clearly, providing information in a manner that will be understood by the specific audience. Edits written work for spelling and grammar before sending out. Uses data to support messages as appropriate. Interpersonal Skills/ Customer Service: Builds strong relationships with families, case managers, home providers neighbors and volunteers within and outside the agency / program. Works cooperatively and is open and responsive to feedback / input from others. Responds promptly to clients’ needs and requests. Teamwork: Exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views. Gives and welcomes feedback and contributes to building a positive team spirit. Recognizes and celebrates the success of others. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintains professionalism with personnel from partner agencies. Maintains assigned client files, monthly contact notes, and creates record keeping reports. Completes spreadsheet for billing purposes, which includes details of date and type of client interaction performed, and tracks daily mileage schedule for expense sheets. Meets with supervisors and coworkers to update progress on clients’ employment. Meets with clients, parents and case manager in the job development phase, in an effort to know their interests and capabilities. Develops a person-centered employment plan followed by job selection activities. Accompanies newly hired client to orientation. Schedules visits, as needed, to maintain contact with clients and resolve issues that may arise. Daily contact with clients via visits or phone calls regarding observation, guidance, and encouragement. and weekly contact with business vendors regarding job openings. Develops long-term employment goals with the client. Supports the client, onsite, to ensure success. Reports any coEducation and/or Experience 
High School Diploma or G.E.D; preferred experience 1-2 years in human or social services – related field.

The individual must possess a valid driver's license and car insurance, Supported Employment Training certificate and 
agency certificates such as First Aid, CPR, Crisis Prevention, Core Training, Neglect and Abuse, SCL training, and a TB 
test.
Employees of Zoom Group are expected to perform many physical tasks as part of their work. The 
following list illustrates the types of duties performed.
Prolonged standing and/or sitting
Lifting (often over 25 lbs)
Stabilizing and maneuvering heavy equipment
Making beds
Pushing brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners
Bending, stooping and turning repetitively
Walking and running
Reaching overhead
Moving and lifting people in and out of wheelchairs
Pushing/pulling wheelchairs
Using hands/arms/feet for repetitive action
Working in environments where temperature is not well-regulated
Working outdoors
Working with mild chemicals (solvents, cleaning supplies)
Climbing stairs
Completing paperwork
Using a telephone
I have reviewed the qualifications and physincerns, complaints, or incidents regarding safety of staff or clients, abuse, neglect, fraudulent actions, or other known or suspected performance transgression of any employee to the Director of Job Placement immediately Other duties as assigned.
