Boldyn Networks US Operations LLC, New York, NY seeks DAS Network Performance Engineers -1 - Enhancing the performance of present wireless infrastructure network as per MNO deployment plans within the cellular and telecom industries. Designing new wireless network RF plans and enabling the enhancement of existing network infrastructures. Ensuring regulatory standards are met while activating new indoor cell sites and conducting field testing to validate RF designs. Analyzing devices and classifying areas for enhancement and develop and compile test scripts for walk testing and drive testing based on carrier’s requirements. Interconnecting data using digital software to including iBwave, Atoll, MapInfo, Post Processing tool – NEMO, Actix, Windcatcher and TEMS in order to evaluate quality in a specific area, etc. Working with MNO Equipment (Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung, Alcatel-Lucent) alarm management, performance management, parameter configuration and DAS vendor (SOLiD, JMA, Corning, CommScope) to ensure efficient network functionality. Performing RF design activities related to standalone 5G broadband network, LTE and Wi-Fi Technology and performing 3D virtualization of the tunnel space to support 5G cellular coverage analysis. Optimizing the end-to-end RF design, propagation modeling and prediction, for deployment of Macro Cells, Small Cells and oDAS/iDAS deployment using DAS, Small Cell, Wifi network testing practices and protocols including RF data collection, Active and Passive Component studies, OTDR, RF Coax Cable, Sweeps and PIM testing. Determining all equipment, power and fiber configurations for projects. Working with the Sr. RF Engineer, Network Operations and Field Operations on RF solutions including modifications to RF coverage criteria, antenna systems, radios, active/passive components on a per site level basis to meet MNO and Operation requirements using RF and wireless Test equipment including Viavi JDSU/RAN advisor, PcTEL iBflex Scanner, Anritsu PIM Master and Site Master, Kaelus PIM Tester. Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules and operating procedures and designing and optimizing Tunnel Distributed antenna system. Performing site evaluation (modification/enhancement) as well as site walks (pre- and post-). Working with the RF Manager and Sr. RF Engineer to establish design criteria, link budgets, and traffic analysis as needed for network design, and updating existing performance parameters as well as performing Multi carrier & multi sector DAS Cellular commissioning, link budget verification for Airports, Tunnels and Bus terminals. Understanding, accepting and complying with responsibilities for information security. Taking due care to maintain information security and undergoing information security training for full compliance and due diligence purposes. Reporting all information security incidents, risks and concerns promptly using 5G and LTE KPI’s. Providing positive support for the achievement of ISMS objectives. Will travel 25% US visiting customer job sites regarding technical surveys.

Requires Bachelor’s (or educ. equiv.) Degree in in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science or related and Two (2) yrs. in Job Offered or related. Experience must have been gained in the Cellular or Telecom industry and included Use of DAS, Small Cell, Wifi network testing practices and protocols including RF data collection, Active and Passive Component studies, OTDR, RF Coax Cable, Sweeps and PIM testing; Use of software tools iBwave, Atoll, MapInfo, Post Processing tool – NEMO, Actix, Windcatcher and TEMS; Use of RF and wireless Test equipment including Viavi JDSU/RAN advisor, PcTEL iBflex Scanner, Anritsu PIM Master and Site Master, Kaelus PIM Tester for troubleshooting and optimization; Performing 3D virtualization of the tunnel space to support 5G cellular coverage analysis; Develop and compile test scripts for walk testing and drive testing based on carrier’s requirements; Working with different OEM’s including SOLID, JMA, CommScope and Corning; optimizing Tunnel Distributed antenna system; Perform Multi carrier & multi sector DAS Cellular commissioning, link budget verification for Airports, Tunnels and Bus terminals; and Activate new indoor cell sites and Conduct field testing to validate RF designs and ensure compliance with specifications. $131,325/yr.
