We’re looking for a confident, highly skilled Veterinary Surgical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll be an essential surgical partner ensuring proper sterilization, patient safety and organized surgical flow throughout complex, high-acuity procedures. As a Veterinary Surgical Assistant, you’ll work side-by-side with our board-certified surgeons and Technicians on a high volume of diverse surgical cases.

What You’ll Do:

● Prepare and sterilize the surgical suite and surgical instruments before and after procedures

● Assist with surgical table turnover, ensuring the suite is ready for the next patient

● Support surgical prep and patient handoffs to and from the ICU and outpatient teams

● Ensure patients are safe, comfortable, and attended to at all times

● Clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels, cages, and runs to the highest standards

● Help keep all hospital areas clean, organized, and sanitary

● Follow specific clinical instructions provided by Veterinary Technicians to support patient care

● Restock supplies and maintain inventory in treatment and surgical areas

● Walk dogs to designated relief areas and provide compassionate handling

What We Require:

● 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant, ideally in a surgical environment

● Experience with practice management software, (ezyVet is our in-house platform)

● Adaptability, being able to pivot effortlessly while demonstrating a positive attitude with clients and co-workers

● Sound judgment with the ability to work ethically, independently, and responsibly

● Dedication to excellent service for each client and patient and respect for coworkers

● Flexibility, curiosity, and the desire to continually learn and develop

● The salary range for this role is: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
