Work Schedule

Full-Time | 40 hours per week | Monday-Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required from an accredited institution 
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments
• The ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Mathematical skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Prepare and interpret charts and graphs. Have the ability to compute ratio and percent
• Reasoning ability to apply logic and draw conclusions based on knowledge. Have the ability to refer to reference materials to solve problems
• Should be able to learn and use all functions of electronic medical record software and transcription software

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with attending Provider for appropriate work and follow up
• Pays close attention to detail and charting requirements
• Assists with coding and documenting all details in the patient charts
• Weekly rounding with Office Coordinator and provides document listing questions and concerns
• Attends all staffing meetings, as requested
• Informs Office Coordinator and/or Practice Administrator of concerns relating to Provider patient care
• Understands the unique practice workflow for each provider
• Remains a patient advocate in all work settings
• Stays abreast of all EHR updates and improvements
• Coordinates schedule among all providers in the clinic
• Coordinates questions for Billing Company with Office Coordinator/Practice Administrator
• Timely completion of all patient referral letters, as directed
• Maintains current on specific areas of education needed for patient care
• Perform other duties as required or assigned
