JOB SUMMARY

Performs routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on production equipment.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Repairs, tests, and installs equipment
  • Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronic units and systems
  • Tests components and circuits
  • Replaces defective components and wiring, and adjusts mechanical parts
  • Aligns, adjusts, and calibrates equipment
  • Maintains records of repairs, calibrations and tests
  • Performs programming and troubleshooting of PLC controllers
  • Reads blueprints or manufacturer’s specifications 


OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Special projects and additional duties as assigned


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • N/A


EDUCATION

  • One year certificate from a college or technical school in electro/mechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or similar


EXPERIENCE

  • Two years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and experience


SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, electronics, motors, and general industry
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle 
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain such within 90 days of appointment
  • Eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) 
  • Willing to work in an environment that requires a “Safety First” attitude
  • Must obey all Safety, Health & Environmental rules/regulations prescribed by regulatory agencies that are incorporated into company policy
  • Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • On the job training will be required

  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Requirements
