FZ is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is focused on serving customers throughout Michigan, Tennessee, and the Carolinas.
FZ is looking for an Accounting Lead for our Grand Rapids, MI office. This role will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, documenting and reporting financial data as well as using expertise to provide others with information to make data-driven business decisions. This role is also integral in regulatory and financial reporting, month-end close processes, internal control procedures, assisting with the accounting operations of the company and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
- 3 or more years of experience in accounting or a finance-related role.
- Experience in percentage completion accounting, work in process schedules, and job costing as well as experience in preparing consolidated financial statements preferred.
- Demonstrated experience using consultative skills and subject matter expertise to become a trusted advisor.
- Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
- Comfortable with coaching and mentoring others on the finance team and sharing subject matter expertise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess sound decision making and problem-solving abilities; takes initiative to solve problems.
- Highly analytical and detail orientated with advanced data analysis skills.
- Willing and able to work within established processes and procedures as well as drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage self to meet deadlines and team expectations; demonstrated time management and prioritization skills.
- Possess organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated professionalism, positive attitude, and customer focus (internal and external).
