About the Department
This position serves as a working manager who actively contributes to the daily operations of the Human Resources division while providing leadership and support to HR staff. Works collaboratively with the HR Specialist and Payroll Specialist to deliver high quality human resources and payroll services to all City departments. Performs a variety of professional-level HR functions, including recruitment and selection, employee relations, classification and compensation, benefits administration, and policy implementation. Provides guidance, coaching, and technical expertise to staff and supervisors, ensuring consistent application of City policies, procedures, and best practices. Work is performed independently under the supervision of the Assistant City Administrator.
Anticipated Hiring Schedule is:
- Application Deadline: November 6

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field; 5 years of relevant experience developing, implementing and administering human resource and employee relation programs; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
