Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Regional Operations Manager to oversee custodial and Environmental Services (EVS) operations across multiple client sites in the greater Sacramento region. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, safety compliance, and consistent service delivery across all assigned locations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing janitorial or EVS teams, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. This is a high-impact position requiring frequent travel and close collaboration with clients, site managers, and internal departments to achieve company and client goals.

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily janitorial and EVS operations across multiple sites, ensuring high standards of service quality, safety, and compliance with company and client requirements.
  • Staff Management: Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate the performance of supervisors, leads, and frontline cleaning staff. Address performance issues as needed and provide support or coverage when necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with company standards, client expectations, and contractual obligations. Ensure all facilities are safe, clean, and presentable.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for client accounts. Address concerns promptly, maintain strong relationships, and promote company services to ensure high client satisfaction and retention.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and all relevant environmental and safety regulations. Promote a culture of safety and report incidents as required.
  • Budget and Administration: Manage regional budgets, labor costs, and inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Review and submit reports, payroll, and operational data to senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement and refine operational procedures, safety programs, and quality standards to enhance efficiency, productivity, and employee engagement.
  • Workforce Planning: Partner with HR and local managers on staffing needs, recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning to support operational requirements.
  • Emergency Response: Remain available to respond to emergencies or urgent service requests 24/7, including nights and weekends.
  • Other Duties: Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned by Advanced leadership.

 

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in janitorial or Environmental Services (EVS) operations, with multi-site or regional management experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience managing dispersed teams within the healthcare industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of janitorial industry standards, cleaning methods, and applicable safety regulations (OSHA, infection control, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success in achieving operational goals related to quality, client satisfaction, and cost control.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills with a client-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency with scheduling, reporting, and workforce management systems; familiarity with Paycom or similar HRIS tools is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout the designated region.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
