Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven FPGA Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts at Altera! In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strategic customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across key markets such as aerospace, defense, telecommunications, automotive, and industrial automation.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets for FPGA products and solutions.
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, OEMs, and channel partners.
Market Development: Identify new market opportunities and emerging trends in FPGA applications to expand our customer base.
Technical Expertise: Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand customer requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence to senior leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, applications engineering, and product management to align go-to-market strategies.
Solution Selling: Present technical solutions and product demonstrations to customers, addressing their specific needs and challenges.
Salary Range
The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.
$254.7K - $375.3K USD
We use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for the position.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
5+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably with FPGA, ASIC, or semiconductor products
Strong understanding of FPGA architectures, design tools (e.g., Vivado, Quartus), and applications
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to travel as needed (up to 30%)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling into industries such as aerospace, defense, automotive, or telecom
Familiarity with RTL design, embedded systems, or high-performance computing
Existing network of industry contacts and decision-makers
