Under administrative direction, the Enterprise Financial Systems Consultant is responsible for the functional development, evaluation, and support of large scale Enterprise Financial Systems and related processes for clients including, but not limited to the Los Angeles County Office of Education Local Educational Agencies (LEAs), which include school districts, community colleges, Joint Power Authorities (JPAs), Career Technical Education programs, charter schools, and internal LACOE divisions.
The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following
Knowledge:
- Principles and practices of Enterprise Financial System implementation, analysis and design
- Cost analysis and work simplification
- Federal, state, and local mandates pertaining to administrative regulations
- Management practices and principles, accounting, and financial administration and reporting
- Project management techniques
- Federal, state, and local laws related to school accounting and reporting
- Accounting, financial reporting techniques and practices
- Current information system concepts and technology for both mainframe and microcomputer applications
- System analysis and design
- Computer hardware and software as it relates to financial reporting
- System studies of methods and best practices
- Principles and techniques of human resources management and performance management
- Fundamental concepts of employment laws, codes, and regulations, including EEO, FLSA, FMLA, and Cal/OSHA and applicable provisions of collective bargaining agreements
- Analyzing & Interpreting Data – Drawing meaning and conclusions from quantitative or qualitative data
- Critical Thinking – Analytically and logically evaluating information, propositions, and claims
- Legal & Regulatory Navigation – Understanding, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations

Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an institution of higher learning accredited by a regional accreditation association as recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience: Four years of experience in large Enterprise Financial System configuration and support in one of the following financial modules of purchasing, inventory, asset management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general ledger, including development, documentation and testing of system solutions. Two years of experience in a lead capacity.
Additional Requirements: A valid California driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required.
Hybrid remote schedules may be available.
Selection Process
Candidates who meet the minimum requirements above will be invited to participate in an examination that may consist of a Performance Exam and a Structured Interview.

Candidates who pass all exam parts are ranked according to overall exam score and placed on an eligibility (hiring) list. Vacant positions are filled from the top three ranks. Eligibility lasts for 12 months; however, additional recruitment may occur under a separate bulletin with additional candidates being merged onto the eligibility list. Some positions that involve public contact may require bilingual proficiency for which selective certification may apply (Education Code 45277.5). In addition, the eligibility list resulting from this examination may be used to fill vacancies in related job classifications for which no eligibility list exists (Education Code 45272).
