What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and organizes the operating room, equipment, instruments and supplies per the manufacturer’s instructions for use as required for various surgical procedures; Adheres to standard precautions including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Anticipates and provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedure
- Performs sponge, sharps, and instrument counts according to policy.
- Prepares patient specimens and medications of sterile field according to policy.
- Utilizes proper body mechanics in moving, transporting, and positioning patients, stretchers, and/or tables in order to prevent injury to self, patient and other personnel.
What You Bring:
Diploma/certificate from an approved Surgical Technologist program, an Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology, or an Associate’s Degree in other healthcare related field
Maintain continuous certification in American Heart Association’s BLS. Surgical Tech diploma/certification or an Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology, or an Associate’s Degree or higher degree in a healthcare related field.
