We are seeking an Occupational Therapist, sometimes referred to as a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) or Occupational Therapist, Registered/Licensed (OTR/L). The Occupational Therapist (OT) will evaluate and treat patients with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial impairments to restore their ability to perform essential activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, and eating. Utilizing customized interventions, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications, they facilitate patient independence, support functional recovery, and contribute to discharge planning within the interdisciplinary care team.

Shifts Available: Days (No Weekends)
Hours: 8hr shifts – 8:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Pampa Regional Medical Center - Pampa, TX

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Assess Functional Abilities: use standardized assessments, patient interviews, and real-world task simulations to determine the patient's current level of independence and areas of need
 - Develop Treatment Plans: create personalized treatment plans tailored to the patient’s condition, goals, and discharge needs
 - Train in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): guide patients in regaining the ability to perform basic ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting, and transferring (e.g., from bed to chair)
 - Recommend Adaptive Equipment: introduce and train patients to use tools that compensate for functional limitations (ie. grabbers, reachers, sock aids, dressing sticks, etc.)
 - Environmental Modifications: Suggest changes to the home or hospital room setup to improve safety and accessibility
 - Educate Patients and Families: train family members or caregivers on how to assist properly without increasing the patient’s dependency, and provide guidance for ongoing care at home or in a rehab facility
 
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy
 - Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license
 - Current BCLS (AHA) certificate
 
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus
- National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred
