About the job

Elephants offers great local foods from scratch every day, and much of that food is prepared (cooked, baked, and packaged) at our Central Production Kitchen. To accomplish this goal, we rely on an exceptional group of food professionals to produce high-quality food products 24/7. We are a speedy team that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our stores and customers.

We’re looking for a Receiver to join our early morning team. You’ll be the first to greet deliveries of produce, meats, and bulk ingredients — making sure everything is accurate, properly stored, and distributed to the right departments.

When deliveries are light, you’ll also help the kitchen team with prep work, offering a great opportunity to learn and cross-train in other areas.

This position requires a food handlers' card.

We are looking for a Receiver who can:

• Receive, verify and turn in all invoices
• Organize and rotate items in the walk-in
• Ensure all products are properly labeled and dated
• Report any spoilage or discrepancies to your supervisor
• Maintain accurate and neat paperwork 
• Prevent product loss both from vendors and while handling items
• Assist with food prep during slower periods
• Perform other duties as assigned

Other requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Able to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, walk quickly and with purpose, bend, stoop, etc.
• 1 year of general work experience
• Ability to read and write in English
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must have excellent personal hygiene
• Vaild driver's license
