About the Department

The Maintenance Worker 1 - Streets performs general labor, outdoor and street maintenance, mowing and some snow plowing.

Position Duties

Performs all tasks, functions, and duties assigned to the Streets maintenance division, including but not limited to equipment operation, manual labor, snowplowing, and performing routine repairs to small equipment.
Adheres to all safety rules and regulations.
Performs such other duties as are consistent with the tasks of the position and as may be assigned by the City.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School Graduate or equivalent. 
Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
General maintenance experience
Working knowledge of appropriate safety regulations and demonstrated ability to follow safe work practices according to law, City practices, and generally accepted safe work standards.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Class B License.

Other Qualifications

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., my work up to 6 months, depending on weather.
Employment offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal and driving history check.
Rate of pay depending on experience.
