The Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time Academic Professional Track (non-tenure) faculty position at the "Professor of the Practice" level, with a 9-month academic appointment, beginning January 1, 2026. The successful applicant will be required to teach, advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and participate in all aspects of the department’s activities, as well as serve the university, college, department, and profession, as necessary. The position is requested to a) meet the increasing demand of students who are enrolled in the Concept, Creation, and Commercialization Certificate and Engineering Entrepreneurship Minor, b) add additional professional skill development and mentoring; and c) meet the need for increased capacity for students exploring startup companies in the Engineering Incubator, participating in Aggies Invents, and various pitch competitions.
The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, with a minimum of 30 years in industry. Candidates must also have experience working in leadership roles within industry corporations.
