Copart is seeking an Intern to join the fast-paced Network Engineering team. This candidate will gain experience working on an E-Business/E-Commerce/Real-Time Transactional and Corporate network infrastructure. You will be expected to interface and work with other members of the team, which includes other Network Engineers, AS/400 Engineers, and Unix Engineers, as well as the Development, QA, Helpdesk, Project Managers, and Remote Site personnel.
You can expect to be involved in the day-to-day operations of a highly available network consisting of routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls. You will be exposed to technologies from multiple vendors including, but not limited to, Cisco, Fortigate and A10. You will learn how to architect and analyze new and existing networks, and be involved in the installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of all network components and technology.
Requirements:
• Pursuing a degree in technology/network engineering OR working towards/completed CCNA or Network
• Competency on but not limited to the following
-Cisco IOS (Routers, Switches)
-Fortigate, ASA & Palo Alto Firewalls
-Meraki & Juniper Mist Access Points and switches
-OSPF, BGP
-Packet Capture Analysis
-Standard Protocols - TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, SNMP, HTTP, NTP, SSH
-Network Monitoring tools i.e (Solarwinds, PRTG, New Relic, LibreNMS)
• Proven competency and knowledge in the following areas are a BIG plus
-Working knowledge using linux/unix based systems
-Scripting/Programing/Automation– Perl, Python, PHP CLI, Ansible
-Front end scripting languages, libraries and frameworks such as Java, Javascript, Angular JS, Flask etc.
• Be flexible and be able to handle competing/changing priorities.
• Very strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well in a team environment
• Flexible schedule required
