Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all HVAC systems are operating properly and efficiently
  • Maintain boiler and conduct daily/weekly boiler checks
  • Ensure that repairs are completed in a timely manner
  • Paint, patch and repair walls as needed
  • Ensure that the exterior of the building and windows are properly maintained
  • Complete lawncare and maintain landscaping
  • Perform snow removal from parking lot and walking areas as needed
  • Ensure that facilities are in compliance with relevant regulatory and safety standards (OSHA, Life Safety Codes, etc.)

Qualifications


Maintenance Engineer Qualifications

  • Current Minnesota 2nd Class (C) engineer's license OR special engineer's licenses with continued employment contingent upon obtaining a Minnesota 2nd Class license within 13 months of employment
  • General knowledge of plumbing, surface preparation for concrete, painting, carpentry, woodwork, mechanical repairs, refrigeration, pneumatics and light electrical repairs
  • Must live within a 30-minute response time to the Sauk Rapids Good Shepherd campus
  • Must have a current, valid driver’s license with no driving violations within the standard of Good Shepherd’s insurability program
