POSITION: Re-Entry Coordinator

SALARY: $27.85-$31.35, per hour

REPORTS TO: Program Manager

LOCATION: Corrections, Nespelem, WA 

Basic Functions: Non-Exempt. The Reentry coordinator is responsible for program management of the reentry program and related grant administration. Will maintain accurate records on all reentry program participants. Duties include but are not limited to collecting weekly compliance information; arranging for services for participants based upon individualized case plans; coordinating information sharing with the courts, prosecutor’s office, public defender, behavioral health program, probation and other programs as necessary; redacting data for information sharing and evaluation; evaluating program participants and non-participants: and submitting grant compliance reports.

Qualifications


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Training: 

  • Requires Associates degree and 48 months of work in case management, criminal justice, social work, psychology or closely related field preferred;
  • High School Diploma or GED and a combination of training, education, or experience in case management, criminal justice, social work, psychology or closely related field required totaling 72 months required.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes vehicle insurance and maintain coverage throughout employment.
  • Requires a valid First Aid and CPR certification or obtain with 90 days of hire.
  • Requires completing the Bureau of Justice Assistance Intergovernmental Reentry workshop within one year of hire.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Requires knowledge of problem solving courts such as Peacemaking Circle, Drug Courts and healing Wellness Courts.
  • Requires knowledge of case management of criminal offenders in both traditional and problem solving courts.
  • Requires knowledge of traditional and cultural aspects of the Colville Indian Reservation is preferred.
  • Requires knowledge of Tribal Policies and Procedures.
  • Requires knowledge of available Tribal and Non-Tribal resources and the entry processes for each monitor for the intake, participation and performance of offenders in programs and services identified in case entry.
  • Requires to preform data entry and record maintenance on all reentry participants for grant reporting purposes.
  • Requires the ability to perform data entry and keep accurate records on all reentry participants for grant reporting purposes.
  • Requires to maintain offender confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Requires to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication across diverse audiences.
  • Requires public speaking across diverse audiences including courts, probation, council and other audiences as required.
  • Requires work effectively and maintain good rapport with offenders, law enforcement and probation personnel and other government agencies.  
  • Requires to analyze case data to evaluate compliance with program objectives.
  • Requires to utilize computers and related software applications.
  • Requires to undertake multiple tasks, priorities and preformed assigned duties independently.

 

 

 

 

Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.

 

TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.

 

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance.  In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances.  If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
