Qualifications:

• Degree/Education: Possess a bachelor�s degree in an appropriate sports/medical science field.

• Certifications: BLS

• Experience: Have minimum of two (2) years as a Certified Athletic Trainer - Collegiate level or higher.

• Board Certification:

  • National Athletic Trainers� Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) or National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA)

  • Obtain one of the following certifications and/or certificates within one hundred twenty (120) days and maintain currency accordingly (if applicable): National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) certified personal trainer (CPT) or higher; EXOS Performance Specialist or higher, or National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES); American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Health Fitness Specialist (HFS).

  • If not already qualified, must be able to obtain and maintain all the following within four (4)-months of hire date at SW HPSG: Certified in Functional Movement Screening (FMS); Certified in Graston Techniques (GT) or Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilizations; Certified in Kinesio Taping Practitioner; Certified Astym therapy provider.

• Licensure/Registration: State of Texas state license to practice or able to obtain a license within four (4) months of contract employment � and shall be maintained during employment.
