Individual Placement - Fish Husbandry Assistant bei The Student Conservation Association

Position Summary 

Assist with fish husbandry activities, maintenance and outreach. Fish activities including daily feeding, cleaning and general care of fish. Maintenance includes assistance with housekeeping, repairs, and new construction. Outreach includes scheduling /providing public tours and developing outreach resources.

Schedule 

December 1, 2025 - May 22, 2026 (25 Extension)

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

Fish husbandry

Required Qualifications 

• Valid driver’s license 
• Personal vehicle required 
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. (day pack/bags of equipment)
• Ability to assist and engage with the public.
• A positive attitude

Hours 

28 per week

Living Accommodations 

Housing not provided--Pre-select lives nearby

Compensation  

$500 weekly living allowance

All allowances are subject to applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
