What you get to do:
This role is committed to ensuring the highest level of guest safety, security and satisfaction. Your professional demeanor and reassuring presence will provide guests and Ambassadors with the peace of mind that enhances their overall park experience. You will also:
- Protect property and assets to include ambassadors, guests, and animals
- Enforce park procedures and policies
- Take appropriate action on all criminal activity that takes place on property
- Patrol park on foot and bike
- Conduct traffic and crowd control
- Assist in finding and reuniting lost children
- Take emergency protective action to preserve life or property
- Uphold a high standard of safety for self, other employees, and guests
- Consistently practice safe work habits including but not limited to use of personal protective equipment, lifting, driving, and reporting of unsafe situations
- Consistently demonstrate courteous and professional behavior in all work aspects with all ambassadors and guests
- Work as part of a team to increase productivity and while providing excellent guest service
- Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees.
- Maintain a professional appearance that meets grooming standards
- Environmental stewardship with local, regional, and national environmental groups through committee participation, serving on various park committees and maintaining community and regulatory relationships
- Inspect facilities/property, and audit written programs, field tasks/activities, training/drills for regulatory and SEA compliance Implement and follow up on any corrective action as appropriate
- Communicate with corporate and other SEA parks to ensure best practices and standards are in place
- Oversight of Environmental Safety/ Specialist position
What it take to succeed:
- Current State Police Officer
- POST (Peace Operations Specialized Training) Certified
- Ability to enforce law and statutes within the local park area, away from full time police employer
- Valid driver's license and a driving record that complies with SEA standards
- At least 1 year service at accredited law enforcement agency
- Able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure excellent guest service
- Able to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions
- Willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations
- Willing to comply with and ensure ambassadors comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
- Able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines
