Job Type: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: 6:30AM - 5:00PM. Either Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday depending on crew assignment after hire. This position requires that you are available for emergency callouts.
Hourly Salary: $25.87 - $31.06

As an Equipment Operator II for this team, you will:
- Install signs and markings, using various equipment and hand tools, in compliance with federal standards
- Use Cartegraph to review work orders
- Coordinate with supervisors, traffic technicians, and other departments to support signs and markings needs
- Transport materials and equipment to and from maintenance and construction sites
- Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment
- Apply chemicals, abrasives, and other ice control products
- Snow and Ice Control Operations along with other emergency response as needed for different events (Snow, rain, hail, wind, fire, etc.)
- Maintain log and record books
- Perform manual labor such as grinding, painting, sweeping, shoveling, and use of hand tools

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
Knowledge of:
- Pertinent federal, state, and local guidelines and standards
- Software programs used in the operation of print machines and creation of designs
- Methods and techniques of sign design
Ability to:
- Safely operate a variety of equipment and hand tools
- Safely operate assigned vehicle
- Communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Position Duties
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED)
- Three years of full-time, professional experience in related field
- Possess, or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver’s license not subject to restrictions
- Possess upon hire and maintain, a valid non-probationary Colorado Class B CDL not subject to restrictions is required for this position

Minimum Qualifications

- Traffic control experience and/or TCS (traffic control supervisor) Certification
- Signs and Markings experience

Physical Demands: The position requires the ability to pull, reach, bend, climb, kneel, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently, and use fingers, hands, and legs; distinguish colors, and safely operate assigned vehicle and equipment.
