The mission of the Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Collision Center Painter is to be responsible for all work assigned to him by the Collision Center Manager.
The Painter will be responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicles within or ahead of their scheduled completion time and for the maintenance and care of shop equipment and efficient use of shop supplies and refinishing material. The Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Collision Center Painter must provide a consistently outstanding brand and customer experience through consistently outstanding preparation, attitude, and teamwork.
Paint cars or damaged areas on vehicles assigned to him by Collision Center Manager.
To exercise care in the use of materials such as cleaning fluids, thinners, paint, sandpaper, and tape.
To perform work with a high level of efficiency and quality, including mixing paints for proper matching and proper application of same.
Performing self-quality control checks on paint match before and after painting.
Responsible for finishing his assigned tasks on-time or ahead of schedule.
Ensure the Collision Center Manager is aware of any issue that would cause paint defects to occur (dirty filters, paint booth repair, etc.).
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
The pay rate is $21 - $24 per hour flat rate.
High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience.
Must have 5 years of previous automobile body painting experience.
OEM Paint manufacturer certification preferred.
Must be able to work Saturdays.
Work Holidays when required.
Must be articulate, enthusiastic, and a self-motivated team player and maintain a positive attitude.
Maintain professional appearance at all times.
Be able to withstand physical demands of the job.
Must have valid driver's license.
