About the Role 
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of our 250,000-square-foot facility, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and ensures regular maintenance is conducted so the infrastructure and equipment remain functional. As a supervisor, you will manage, train, and assist in the development of the maintenance team.

Location & Hours:

• This is an onsite position at our Ely, Nevada location at 30955 N. Alt, US-93, Ely, NV 89301 (near the intersection of US Rt 93 & US Alt Route 93). 
• Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• On-call availability for occasional after-hours, weekends, and holiday emergency repairs is required. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for facility maintenance.
• Establish schedules and methods for providing facility maintenance services; identify resource needs. 
• Review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly.
• Participate in the development of goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures.
• Make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies, and procedures. 
• Participate in the implementation of approved policies and procedures; monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Recommendations: monitor expenditure; prepare cost estimates; submit justifications for equipment. 
• Monitor and control supplies and equipment, and order supplies and tools as necessary.
• Train or coordinate training in facility maintenance and safety methods, procedures, and techniques. 
• Develop and organize preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs for all facilities and equipment. 
• Coordinate construction projects, remodels, and other special projects. 
• Assist in the preparation of various contracts, requests for proposals, and reports. 
• Perform the more technical and complex tasks required of the team. 
• Corrective action as necessary to resolve complaints. 
• Perform related duties as required. 

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Associate or bachelor’s degrees in facility management, business administration, or related field preferred. 
• 5+ years of facility maintenance experience,
• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong understanding of building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, etc.).
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods 
• Experience with welding and fabrication
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to respond to emergencies after hours and on weekends.  

Physical Requirements/Environmental Factors:
Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. 
Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, often in a greenhouse environment. 
Repetitive Motion: Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching to handle plants and equipment. 
Manual Dexterity: Proficient hand-eye coordination for tasks such as cloning, trellising, and transplanting. 
Work Environment: Ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity levels typical of greenhouse environments. 
Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
