Position Summary:
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient organization and operation of the company’s warehouse, vehicle fleet, and facilities. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating shipping and receiving, and supporting overall operational readiness. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in maintaining both inventory and facilities to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Organize and maintain warehouse layout for optimal efficiency and safety.
- Issue parts and materials to jobs and technicians, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Ensure that no parts, tools, or materials leave or enter the warehouse without appropriate paperwork or system entry.
- Track, manage, and issue high-dollar tools and equipment to technicians, ensuring accountability and proper return.
- Reconcile parts and materials at the completion of each job, verifying usage against job requirements and returns.
- Pull, stage, and prepare materials and equipment for job orders.
- Put away and label inventory accurately and in a timely manner.
- Execute regular cycle counts, truck inventories, and full physical inventories.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system.
- Coordinate outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and documentation.
Fleet Management
- Oversee company vehicle fleet, including maintenance scheduling, inspections, registration renewals, and recordkeeping.
- Monitor vehicle condition and ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Coordinate repairs, detailing, and preventive maintenance as needed.
Facilities Maintenance
- Perform and/or coordinate general facility maintenance such as minor repairs, painting, cleaning, and fixture replacements.
- Oversee groundskeeping tasks including lawn care, snow removal, and seasonal upkeep.
- Ensure warehouse and office facilities are clean, organized, and safe for all employees.
- Support safety initiatives and compliance with facility and OSHA standards.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily warehouse and field-based work with occasional office duties.
- May require lifting up to 50 lbs and operating vehicles or equipment.
- Seasonal outdoor work for facility maintenance.
- May travel to other company locations.
- May require occasional overtime hours for after-hours emergencies, fleet emergencies, or after-hours technicians parts needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or logistics training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or facilities management roles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic mechanical or maintenance aptitude.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Proficient with inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
