TAMKO is seeking an Engineering Intern at our facility in Dallas, Texas. The Engineering Intern will help design, plan, organize, control, integrate, and complete quality engineering solutions to support manufacturing and corporate facilities and systems.

- Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial manufacturing.
- Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
- Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering solutions to industrial manufacturing problems.
- Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing systems specifications, technical drawings or control plans.
- Establishing manufacturing or installation standards or specifications by performing engineering analysis.
- Establishing construction, manufacturing or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations engineering analysis.
- Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential engineering improvements and studies.
- Preparing specifications for purchases of materials and contractor support.
- Supervising or training project team members.
- Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
- Maintaining industrial process controls.
- Working with a variety of technicians.
- Make safety a priority – personal safety and safety of others

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to position himself/herself to operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or maintain heavy plant equipment. This may require climbing stairs/ladders, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting and/or stooping. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and may occasionally lift or move heavier objects with assistance.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work around moving mechanical parts, at elevated heights, where dusts and fumes could be present in the air, with or in proximity to chemicals, in hot environments, around electrical equipment, and in a loud environment. The employee must have the ability to understand and mitigate these and other risks, including by following all prescribed safety rules, and must have the ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, if necessary.
