Key Responsibilities
- Conduct air dispersion modeling and prepare air quality permit applications in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Support permitting and compliance efforts related to the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act, including performing emissions and discharge calculations.
- Perform process calculations and evaluations to ensure compliance with emission and water quality standards.
- Assist in the design and assessment of water and wastewater treatment and pollution control systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and regulatory agencies to develop effective and compliant environmental solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, permit documentation, and other submittals for clients and regulatory review.
- Assist with preparation of proposals, work plans and cost estimates.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in environmental permitting, air quality, or process engineering.
- Knowledge of air permitting, air dispersion modeling, and environmental regulations, including the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act.
- Experience performing process or emissions calculations and supporting environmental compliance projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
