Sr. Full Stack Engineer (Java/Angular) bei Cognizant

About the role

As a Full Stack Engineer (Java/Angular), you will make an impact by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product owners, QA engineers, and DevOps specialists.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver high-quality code aligned with sprint goals and coding standards.
• Build reusable, component-based software units using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• Ensure robust unit test coverage and address SCA vulnerabilities proactively.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, story grooming, and release planning.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 1 day a week in a client or Cognizant office in Irving, TX. What you need to have to be considered:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in using IntelliJ, Jenkins CI/CD, and GitHub for development and deployment.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience in writing unit tests and managing code quality and security vulnerabilities.

These will help you stand out:

• Familiarity with Kotlin and CockroachDB.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
