Summary
Works independently in completing project tasks and executing the following tasks as part of a clinical systems implementation: building system components; testing, documentation of workflows and other project information; implementation support and maintenance of EMR system software; builds data sets, master files and reports; performs quality assurance, data analysis, and integrated testing and releases new functionality to end-users; reviews vendor software releases and updates.
Provides training support and maintains all aspects of software changes. Provide technical support across multiple environments with a primary focus on EMR/EPM software.
General Priorities
- Effectively educate and guide PPAZ’s Core team, end-users and new employees on software configuration and functionality of software and ancillary applications.
- Assist with maintenance and evaluation of medical information system workflows and processes.
- Analyze and provide resolutions to application issues that support and improve operations.
- Process requirements for enhancements and/or new features with Epic include ensuring new releases are assessed, tested, readied for release, and properly coordinated for release to the production environment.
- Serves as affiliate liaison to perform system upgrades, customizations, and enhancements.
- Conduct moderate to high complexity analysis under the general direction of operations.
- Assist with the evaluation of EMR data to ensure report accuracy with current system workflows.
- Provides technical and analytical assessment of issues facing the business and presents the findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of three years in healthcare operations environment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience in Microsoft suite software
- Advanced problem-solving skills, including the ability to work with end-users, outside vendors, and management to resolve problems and implement new technologies.
- Ability to track and manage multiple initiatives or projects.
- Strong attention to detail
- Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
- The ability to initiate and follow through on new projects is required. Must be able to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, and procedures.
- The ability to work effectively and confidentially with executives, managers, and employees.
