MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in Patuxent River, MD. This is an on-site position.This position supports the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Systems Engineering Department (SED). This is an opportunity to be part of a team that plays a crucial role in keeping our nation’s military safe and mission successful.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Coordinating and managing projects for the AARGM-ER program in support of the Platform/Stores Integration competency, Program Manager, and IPT leadersDeveloping requirements, store integration plans, and performing engineering analyses to ensure total weapon system performance. Apply programmatic and technical knowledge to identify, design, and test solutions for complex engineering problemsManaging and executing the airworthiness process for all store integration activities, including coordinating data requirements with subject matter experts and reviewing flight clearances for technical accuracy and safetyPreparing and reviewing a variety of technical documentation, including project directives, specifications, Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), test plans, and contract deliverablesEstablishing and maintaining communication with key stakeholders (project team leaders, NAVAIRSYSCOM, IPT members) and serving as a department representative at conferences, design reviews, program meetings, and symposiaMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university10+ years of recent and relevant engineering experience with at least 3+ years directly related to DoD systemsDemonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertiseWeapons and Store Integration experiencePreferred Qualifications:Airworthiness experience to include NAVAIR airworthiness requirements, flight clearances, and safety of flightAircraft/weapons integration experienceClearance Requirements:Must have an active Secret security clearance.Physical Requirements:Tasking is primarily computer based.  The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC as well as operate other typical office equipment (e.g. copying machine, shredder, projection systems, etc.).Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, Customers, and management through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods (e.g. TEAMS, ZOOM).
