The mission of Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca (CAP) is to respectfully assist people to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency through direct services, education, and community partnerships.

CAP Cayuga/Seneca is seeking a Family Worker in the Early Childhood program. The Family Worker is the liaison between parents and the Head Start program as well as between community resources and the family.

Applicants must have the following minimum qualifications:

  • High school diploma required and must enroll in and complete a Family Service Credentialing Program such as the Family Development Credential program or Head Start Family Service Credential program within 18 months of hire, or obtain a degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field within 18 months of hire.
  • Associates’ degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.
  • Must have at least two years experience in community work either as a volunteer or paid employee.
  • Must have a clean and valid NYS driver's license.

This is a full-time, 10-month, non exempt position scheduled 44 weeks out of the year. The hourly pay rate is $20.41/hr,  scheduled 35 hrs/wk.
