The Role
As the Data Analysis and Insights Chapter, we support the Data Domain by blending expertise in business intelligence and advanced analytics with a passion for delivering results. In an agile structure, we partner with squads and business partners to deliver data insights and ensure respective products or services are designed to the optimal standard. We ensure alignment on the 'what' and 'when' work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog. We collaborate as squad members and work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. We are committed to developing our own expertise and knowledge to ensure we bring the latest thinking to our roles.
The Adv Analyst, Data Analysis and Insights role supports and coordinates solution development projects within a well-defined scope to deliver targeted research, insights and analytics required to support data-driven decision making. This role will contribute to various team projects and brings working knowledge advanced analytics methodologies, critical thinking along with basic proficiency on technical tool and query language skills. The analyst is an individual contributor.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s or equivalent Degree with 2+ years of experience. Preferred BS Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge in Business Statistics, Quantitative methods. Practical exposure to using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns for diagnostic and predictive analytics
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical aptitude with the foundational skills for interpreting data sets.
- Basic proficiency with writing and decoding SQL and Python
- Knowledge and exposure with BI (Business Intelligence) and analytical tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and presentations
- Understanding of Data insight life cycle and experience working with large data sets, preferred
- Agile experience, preferred
- Financial services experience, preferred
