JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT: Under the direction of an administrator, to perform highly skilled and responsible secretarial work in the operation of a school site or department which has a broad range of operational and programmatic responsibilities and functions. Relieves the administrator of a wide variety of duties by planning, organizing, supervising, and participating in assigned office operations; assumes some office management responsibilities; collaborates with all levels of staff and guardians; performs related work as required. This position provides support to staff and duties related to Special Education and Pupil Services.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
? Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
? Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods
? Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and office equipment
Required:
1. Read, write, and speak at a level sufficient to fulfill the duties to be performed.
2. Education and training which would clearly demonstrate the knowledge and skills listed above.
3. Broad and increasingly responsible secretarial or clerical experience emphasizing experience in an educational setting.
4. High school education or equivalent and/or special vocational training.
