Job Description Summary:   

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) assists the Clinical Director, the client, and their families in progress toward specific goals. This person completes functional behavior assessments and skill assessments, developing and monitoring behavior support plans and individualized treatment plans, completing progress reports, recording, and analyzing data, conducting staff training, providing on-sight monitoring, and working with a team of other professionals. BCBA provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance use and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. BCBA demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. BCBA will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. BCBA reports to the Clinical Director of the Autism Center. 

Education: 

  • A graduate of an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in special education, psychology, social work, counseling or closely related field.

Qualifications:  

  • Active certification as a BCBA with the BACB 

  • Currently licensed in Missouri as an LBA 

  • Must be a resident of Missouri, Oklahoma, or Kansas

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Supervising, coaching, and performing intensive interventions with children with autism within the methodology of Applied Behavior Analysis. 
  • Oversight of the development, training, and implementation of plans to reduce challenging behavior. 
  • Conducting initial and ongoing normed and criterion-based assessments. 
  • Analyzing data and making treatment recommendations based on assessments. 
  • Monthly supervision for RBTs  
  • Report writing as required. 
  • Parent training and ongoing family support to each family assigned 
  • Completing billing forms/documentation as required 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Typical physical demands include prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, stooping, and occasional team lifting to 200 pounds.  

  • Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed.  

  • Requires the ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours and deal with irate individuals. 

  • TB test upon hire.
