Job Summary
Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. This position will oversee all financial operations for two inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. This includes budgeting, projections, accounts receivable, month end close, and financial reporting.
What you will do:
Oversee all financial operations for two inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. This includes budgeting, projections, accounts receivable, month end close, and financial reporting.
Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.
Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
Moderate Computer Skills -- Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.
Complex Communication -- Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management. Can present, resolve, and address delicate situations. can motivate and persuade others.
Varied Business Situations -- Circumstances are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedent and practice.
