Job Summary

The Poway Unified School District is seeking applications for the 2025-2026 school year. Please note that this is posting is for an ELIGIBILITY POOL only. Required Documents

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: All required documents MUST be scanned and attached prior to submitting an application for this position. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 1. Applicants must have an English Language Learners (CLAD credential) in order to be considered for the position. 2. Copy of valid teaching credential (Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Deaf & Hard of Hearing or other valid California Special Education Credential authorizing the teaching of hearing impaired students). 3. Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts are required upon hiring). 4. Current resume. 6. Letter of introduction, addressed to Kelly Burke, Ed.D., Director of Human Resources. 7. Three (3) letters of reference, signed/dated within the past 12 months. Applicants are encouraged to include at least one (1) letter of reference from a supervising or site administrator. Applicants who have never held a full-time position, are encouraged to have a letter of reference from a site administrator where they completed their student teaching. 8. For phone references, be sure to include the reference's most current cell phone number and email address. 9. All applications must be submitted through EDJOIN; no hard copy documents will be accepted. EXPLANATION OF SIGNING BONUS PAYMENT: $6,000 signing bonus for a full time (100%) position and prorated for a less than 100% position. The $6,000 signing bonus will be paid out at $750 at the end of the first eight (8) semesters employed in this position. TEACHER INDUCTION: Poway Unified School District offers a teacher induction program to clear the CA preliminary credential to qualified individuals at no cost to the employee.

Requirements / Qualifications

Applicants must submit all required documents to be considered, including a valid teaching credential. CREDENTIALS REQUIRED: Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Deaf & Hard of Hearing or other valid California Special Education Credential authorizing the teaching of hearing impaired students.

Salary Info

Up to 10 years of service credit will be granted resulting in placement up to Step 11
