This role would be most successful if the candidate has experience with financial reporting and audit preparation, familiarity with regulatory compliance in insurance accounting

& advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools.

• Direct Bill Commission Management

  • Oversee the processing and reconciliation of direct bill commissions

  • Ensure timely and accurate recording

• Accounts Receivable Oversight

  • Review and monitor the company’s accounts receivable process

  • Ensure proper invoicing, collections, and aging analysis

• Carrier Payables Management

  • Manage carrier payable processes including reconciliation, payment scheduling, and dispute resolution

• Producer/Broker Commission Reconciliation

  • Ensure accurate calculation and timely payment of producer and broker commissions

• Vendor Payables

  • Oversee vendor payment processes, including invoice verification, approval workflows, and payment execution

• Banking & Cash Management

  • Manage banking relationships

  • Monitor cash flow

  • Perform bank reconciliations

• Process Improvement & Best Practices

  • Identify and implement industry best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across accounting functions

• System Utilization

  • Leverage agency management systems such as Applied Epic, AMS360, Benefit Point, and Brokerage Builder to streamline operations and reporting

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience in the insurance brokerage industry

• Strong understanding of brokerage operations and commission structures

• Proficiency in Applied Epic, AMS360, Benefit Point, and Brokerage Builder

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
