Operations Assistant

Primary Objectives for the Operations Assistant

• Assists Operations Manager in all areas of Operations Department
• Promote business growth and overall success through guiding and training
• Provide support to all Bliffert Lumber staff

   Operations Assistant Responsibilities

• Assist in managing IT projects, onboarding and troubleshooting. Including equipment recycling, software management (Adobe admin, ring central, blue beam)

• Manage and administer Descartes routing system including training and tracking for fleet oversight and logistic planning
• Develop and assist in delivering annual safety compliance training
• Enforce OSHA safety regulations across all company locations, including the creation and implementation of safety policies
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery operations and vehicle usage
• Report, document and investigate all workplace injuries; ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining all yard equipment and fleet operations to ensure optimal working conditions and regulatory compliance
• Oversee and manage company cell phone account (Verizon) including issuance and tracking of all company devices
• Generate and distribute forklift certifications cards as required by operational needs
• Provide support for Impact ticket tracking

          Requirements for Operations Assistant

• Reports to Operations Manager
• Lifting up to 50lbs as needed
• Travel to all locations as needed to provide training and support
