Role Purpose:

The Systems Engineer is one of the primary engineering representatives within McNaughton-McKay and works with the Sales team and vendors in the development of marketing and support activities for the assigned products and product groups.

Systems Engineer responsibilities include:

Pre-Sale Responsibilities:

• Acting as sales support of assigned products and product groups.
• Developing relationships with the Sales team and decision-makers within the identified customers.
• Monitoring the application and business trends implemented at the identified customers.
• Developing a strategy with Sales to promote the sales of assigned products and product groups at the identified customers.
• Developing solutions that address application trends at the assigned customers.
• Utilizing customer relationships and documented activities to leverage the value-add activities provided to the customer.
• Establishing business relationships with vendors of assigned product technologies as the technical liaison for customer and sales support.
• Assisting in the development of vendor contracts and agreements with vendors of assigned product technologies.

Post-Sale Responsibilities:

• Managing the availability and strategic account requirements for the assigned product technologies.
• Managing the availability and the Services and Solutions (SaS) team requirements for the assigned product technologies.
• Training the Inside Sales and technical support personnel on the assigned product technologies.
• Educating and supporting the Sales staff on the assigned product technologies.
• Developing and maintaining the information and support infrastructure required for the assigned product technologies.

Service Responsibilities:

• Qualifying the level of assistance provided to customers with product and integration issues.
• Creating the required service procedures to support the assigned product technologies.
• Developing the vendor service/support strategies for the assigned product technologies.

Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Include:

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience
• Product knowledge of assigned product technologies
• Thorough knowledge of strategic customer applications
• Good relationship with the vendors of assigned technologies
• Proven analytical, organizational, and communication skills
