Nursing Supervisor (RN) - Travel Position  
Location: York, ME 
Job Type: Travel Contract   
Duration: 13 weeks  
Shift: 3x12s Rotation 
Pay: $2322/week 
Completion Bonus: Up to $7,500 total. (You will receive $2,500 after the successful completion of each of your first 3 contracts with us)

Job Description:  

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse (RN) Nursing Supervisor to provide centralized clinical and operational leadership across the entire organization during their assigned shifts. This highly visible role requires an expert clinician and seasoned manager who coordinates personnel and resources to ensure the continuous availability and safety of patient care services, including urgent care, emergency, inpatient, and operative functions. The Supervisor is a critical liaison for crisis management and high-level decision-making, particularly during periods of high census or complex resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Coordinate and organize personnel and other resources across departments to meet organizational patient care functions in a cost-effective manner.
• Provide crisis management leadership, interpret policy and procedure, and assure timely and effective communication and collaboration between individuals and departments.
• Continuously monitor daily operations by integrating data from electronic systems, communication, and physical unit rounds to assure patient care effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction.
• Assure the safety and quality of patient care by allocating and redirecting resources, considering care demands related to patient acuity, unit requirements, and staff skill mix.
• Coordinate the routine flow of scheduled, direct, and emergency patient admissions to efficiently place patients in the appropriate care location, maximizing capacity and improving satisfaction.
• Coordinate the organizational response during times of high census, collaborating with administrators, directors, the Emergency Department, Surgery, Critical Care, Cath Lab, and all Inpatient Units.
•  Work variable shifts (one night and two days per week) and be included in the required call rotation.

Qualifications:  

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in the state of Maine or Compact Licensure is required.
• 3 to 5 years of previous supervisor, manager, or coordinator experience is mandatory.
  • (3) Years progressive management/leadership experience required.
  • (5) Years progressive management/leadership preferred.
• Previous experience as a Charge Nurse, Unit Coordinator, or Director is highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• COVID vaccine and recent TB test may be required.
