Job Description:
This job is responsible for the analysis and resolution of highly complex credit and tax operations processes and issues that require coordination of multiple stakeholders to resolve. Key responsibilities include adhering to defined procedures and regulatory requirements, while managing projects and initiatives in support of process improvement or updates to procedures. Job expectations include supporting effective coordination across key stakeholders groups, including business controls and governance organizations.

This position is in the GBAM Operations Tax and Control and will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance and reporting for syndicated loan products. This position involves managing tax documentation, withholding, and reporting obligations for syndicate loan activity in LoanIQ, while partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to mitigate tax risk and maintain regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities. 
-Process tax withholding and reporting for interest and fee payments on syndicated loans.
-Collaborate with Loan Operations, Syndicate Desk, and Client Services to resolve tax-related issues.
-Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from internal and external parties.
-Identify and escalate potential tax risks related to syndicated loan transactions.
-Maintain accurate records and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
-Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in change efforts for the tax operations team.


Responsibilities:

  • Leads end-to-end resolution of complex client issues and inquiries related to tax and credit reporting, often requiring significant research and engagement of business functional experts
  • Conducts root cause analysis and drives solutions to address organizational challenges and initiatives
  • Performs quality control and analytical support to ensure high performance accuracy
  • Develops and implements new processes and procedures, and modifies existing procedures to ensure they are accurate and up to date
  • Supports operational team projects and production of executive-level reports and presentations for senior management
  • Identifies, facilitates, and supports process improvements, requirements, and initiatives across multiple stakeholders.

Required Skills:

-Experience with syndicated loan platforms (e.g., Loan IQ).

-Strong understanding of U.S. tax regulations (FATCA, Chapter 3 & 4, 1099/1042 reporting).
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Proficiency in MS Excel and tax reporting systems.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay range

$69,800.00 - $104,400.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
