ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare drinks with proper portions and ingredients.
2. Mix drinks and collect payment from guests.
3. Count bank at the beginning of shift to verify necessary amounts. Count bank at the end of shift, separating room charges and comp tickets, completing paperwork. Requires mathematical skills and writing ability.
4. Ability to take beverage orders from customers of the bar requires ability to communicate clearly in English.
5. Clean bar area including wiping down bar and picking up trash. Restock supplies during slow periods, including lifting, bending, and reaching.
6. Lift bar top to enter/leave bar work area (approximately 15 pounds) or bending under to access area behind bar.
7. Must be able to work within a narrow space – approx. 4.5 ft. wide behind bar.
8. Address guests with a pleasant nature at all times.
9. Acquire knowledge of the casino layout and the ability to give proper directions.
10. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
11. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
12. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
13. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
14. Attend all necessary meetings.
15. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.
ADDITIONAL SECONDARY POSITION DUTIES:
1. Responsible for managing and supervising all Beverage operations as well as all employees of these departments when the Beverage Manager is not on premises.
2. Handle with all administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, filling, personnel maintenance and HR issues for Beverage and Remote Outlets. Ensure proper staffing levels and work schedules in order to provide a high level of service with minimum labor hours. Evaluate staff performance on a ninety (90) day and annual basis.
3. Conduct regular cover count, check average, food and beverage costs and projection analysis to maximize profitability.
4. Responsible for the implementation of the Food and Beverage Procedures.
5. Must be able to operate and run multi-unit operations.
6. Assist with hiring, training, recognition, coaching, terminations and other personnel related issues.
7. Communicate regularly with the Food & Beverage Management team and keep them informed on all casino and Food and Beverage activities and events. Communicate regularly with employees and keep them informed on all casino activities and events.
8. Advise the Beverage & Remote Outlet Manager of daily problems and needs; utilize all available resources to maximize profits.
9. Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines in regards to Serve Safe, Seneca Nation Health codes and Seneca Gaming Corporations Risk Management Department.
10. Adhere to TIPS Certification and Alcohol Awareness policy.
11. Ensures compliance with liquor laws and all requirements associated with the property’s liquor license.
12. Responsible for settling all disputes with customers, employees and supervisors.
13. Cooperate with the Seneca Gaming Authority to ensure proper compliance with all rules and regulations of the Seneca Gaming Corporation.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must demonstrate leadership, fairness and sensibility to the customers and employees.
2. Must possess ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in subordinate employees.
Education/Experience:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
2. High School diploma or its equivalency required.
3. Four (4) years of experience with two (2) years in the field of food and beverage required.
4. Previous supervisory/management experience preferred.
5. Knowledge of all phases of full service dining.
6. Previous customer service experience required.
7. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, coaching, team building and problem solving skills.
8. Must have proficient computer skills.
Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:
1. Must possess excellent communication skills.
2. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
3. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner

1. Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the Food and Beverage department and the Casino for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to thirty (30) pounds.
2. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-faced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
Salary Starting Rate:
$10.35Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
