Job Summary: The Family Office Director is responsible for coordinating all family office functions within Richter Legacy Group. This position provides leadership to the Family Office team, including business, financial, and investment guidance, professional services, and staffing resources. This position will also coordinate philanthropy and other enterprise efforts.
Specific duties:
- Oversee the management and strategic development of the family office services provided to the Richter Legacy Group founders.
- Oversee preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and periodic investment portfolio reports for Richter Legacy Group.
- Oversee and lead all Richter Legacy Group team members, including hiring and
- Collaborate with the HOLT Group family office and other individual family offices for the benefit of the entire enterprise
- Liaise with the lawyers, trustees, accountants, real estate brokers, insurance brokers and other external advisors affecting family-directed strategies and initiatives and charged with family office investment and accounting
- Maintain a financial and operating environment that is focused on the Richter family’s core values and ethical standards.

Essential Functions:

Can express and demonstrate key Leadership principles to all stakeholders, including external partners and can identify and grow the next tier of Leaders for the long-term benefit of the Family Office.

Can anticipate business, operational and financial trends to help mitigate threats and risks and accentuate developing opportunities. Can grasp macro and micro market and financial trends and can build agility into the Family Office to provide for long-term, consistent results and excellence in performance during every business year.
- Team Building - Brings together the necessary stakeholders and strives to build highly ethical, trustworthy, high performing teams that, in turn, build high performing, individual team members. Creates the vision, direction, and goals; provides the appropriate level of guidance and establishes accountability framework for the Family Office team. - Coaching - Teaches and grows team members to aspire to greater roles and efficiency. Seeks to develop them to realize their greatest potential within the Family Office. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Family office experience and exposure to real estate, tax or investment activities is a must.

Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree
- CPA and/or MBA, preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position directs and manages the Family Office Managers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Travel:
- Up to 20% travel required; ability to travel frequently to and from meetings, or other family business-related events
- Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets,
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- This position frequently communicates with employees, legal counsel, vendors, and stakeholders. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Work Environment:
- This job is generally performed in a professional office; in environmentally controlled conditions, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive
- Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
