As Assistant Manager of Catering Events, you’ll help bring that promise to life by coordinating bar and catering services, managing event logistics, supporting student staffing and contributing to cost-effective, policy-compliant operations. Primary Function: Coordinates and supervises bar and catering services; solicits and responds to information from customers; utilizes Food Pro and other systems to ensure compliance with departmental procedures and cost management; assists with the staff and student employment process; and assists in recommending new and/or revised departmental operational policies, procedures, and standards.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus at least one year of experience in catering, retail food service, institutional food service operations, or related experience required. An associate's degree plus four years of related experience may be substituted. Student experience will be considered. Frequent night and weekend work will be necessary. Fall 2025 graduates will be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in institutional, hotel or restaurant management, dietetics, business management or related field; strong customer service skills; ability to multitask; and excellent team management skills preferred.
