About the Role:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or equivalent) from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a veterinary technician in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a veterinary or animal care environment.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and animal handling techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology or related field.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and inventory management software.
- Advanced training or certification in anesthesia, surgical assistance, or emergency care.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a veterinary clinic or animal care facility.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on client education and team collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures, ensuring adherence to safety and care standards.
- Manage patient records, prepare treatment plans, and administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Train and mentor junior veterinary technicians, providing guidance on clinical techniques and professional development.
- Maintain and sterilize medical equipment, monitor inventory of supplies, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding animal care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up procedures.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop and implement protocols that improve patient care and clinic efficiency.
