At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The base hiring pay range for this role is between $16.75-$23.50 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.

Other components of Hormel Foods’ total compensation package includes comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage, discretionary annual increases, profit sharing, 401(k) with employer match, stock purchase plan, paid vacation, FREE two-year community/technical college tuition for children of employees, and more.

 

STOREROOM CLERK – AUSTIN PLANT 

This position reports to the Mechanical Storeroom Supervisor-Austin. 

This position covers the mechanical storeroom clerk responsibilities.  The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with occasional overtime 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The person in this position:

  • Responsible for accurately receiving and returning mechanical storeroom parts and Employee Storeroom supplies.
  • Provides purchase order receipts, requisition of supplies, and processes repair paperwork.
  • Communicates with suppliers to problem solve receiving discrepancies, repairs and returns, and or invoicing issues. 
  • Collaborates with Transportation and Engineering to align shipping of repairable parts and or receiving of mechanical equipment through door 83. 
  • Collaborates with Accounting, Purchasing, and Engineering on invoicing questions and resolutions.
  • Assists production professionals with receiving and packing slip questions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Demonstrated proficiency with a PC, Windows, and Excel.
  • Ability to learn other computer applications (such as Oracle, DataServ, Enterprise Asset Management).
  • Ability to quickly work with requisitions, purchase orders, internal customers, and suppliers.
